We live in an age where anyone - regardless of I.Q. or mental status - can voice their opinion online. This is especially true for online feedback on popular auction sites such as Amazon and eBay, where sometimes you'll run across some rather... shall I say, peculiar feedback from time to time? Here is a compilation of some of the more oddball feedback I've read while spending time on Amazon:



"nasty and dirty the head set is covered in ear wax and dirt and the package even smells like ass."

"I did receive my package prior to 5.28.08. The problem is that never in my life have I seen such a disgusting package in my life. The box looks like it was found in the basement after a flood. I used gloves to open the package because it was just that horrible. The contents were fine. I would have sent the contents in a paper bag before I would send out anything that looked like that. NEVER AGAIN!" "Packaging not stoner friendly, it took so long to get the damn thing open so I left it to go watch tv." "I WAS PLEASED TO GET THE COLOR GAME BOY BEFORE CHRISTMAS B/C I HAVE A 18 YR OLD MENTALLY CHALLENGED SON WHO LOVES TO PLAY HIS GAMES AND COLLECTS THEM AND SOMEONE HAD STOLLEN HIS COLOR GAME BOY AND HE WANTED A NEW ONE FOR CHRISTMAS AND WHEN I COULDN'T FIND ONE AND FOUND YOUUR SITE AND COULD AFFORD ONLY A USED ONE I WAS GLAD THAT IT WAS IN MY PRICE RANGE HE WAS VERY HAPPY WITH IT ." Pikmin and Fire Emblem Titles Price Increase Most Likely Due to 'Brawl'

Not too long ago the two entries in the Pikmin series and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (all for Gamecube) weren't fetching an ample amount of dough. It wasn't uncommon to find the original Pikmin for less than $20, its follow up for around 30 beans, and Fire Emblem in a similar price range. Hell, in terms of Fire Emblem, I recall spotting it on clearance at Gamestop brand new for a mere $10 and they still had a excursive time selling off their stock.

Now, with the release of the obtusely-popular Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, these titles have gone way up in value. What would that title have anything to do with this, you ask? Well, for one thing, the characters found in these particular titles can also be found in Brawl. Add in the fact that the Wii is backward-compatable with the Gamecube and you now have a decent, if temporary, market for these somewhat-overlooked titles (Fire Emblem didn't sell like hotcakes, but the Pikmin titles did reach Players' Choice status. Despite that, tracking down copies on the market as of late has been tough - and that's putting it lightly).

Browse any auction site and you'll see that the original Pikmin sells used for upward of $40, the sequel for $70 and up, and Fire Emblem for around $40 used. However, all three of these titles commonly eclipse the $100 mark when sold brand new.

Yeah,yeah, these are fantastic games... but there's never been a superior time to sell off your copies to make a quick buck.

What do you do when you come home from work early only to discover your 15-year old son smoking weed? Sell his beloved Christmas gift, of course.

At least that's what one Canadian father did. In a public, rather humiliating eBay auction that ended up selling for o $9,000 after an intense bidding war, a dad sold his son's copy of Guitar Hero III for the Wii - a burdensome game to track down this time of year - to punish him for lighting up a joint with his "delinquent" (as the auction author describes them) buddies.

Although there's a large chance that the story provided on the auction page is a bogus gimmick (and the fact that the vast majority of the bidders were newly registered members who kept continuously adding money just for kicks, and not to actually pay), it is an intriguing conversation piece nonetheless. Hey, I've seen auctions similar to this in the past, and they always seem to attract tons of attention. Still, if your auction gets over-run by jokers who will just keep bidding only not pay in the end, do you really want that type of attention?

eBay Scam Alert - 12 Months of Xbox Live?

When you need to find a rare item, or are perhaps looking for a good bargain, eBay usually comes to mind for the millions of people that use the world’s most popular auction site daily.

However, many people are turned off from this site for numerous reasons. One of them is because of the good amount of scammers that prey on the easily-fooled.

A new scam to watch out for on eBay is for cheap Xbox Live cards. The people that sell these often list them for half the price the cards normally retail. Once you purchase the card the seller e-mails you the code and you’re on your way to 13 months of Xbox Live play.

Or so many think. These are nothing but free one month trials that expire quickly. However, most people are fooled by this, so they end up giving the seller positive feedback (because, at the time, they’re not aware that their not receiving what they paid for – a full year of Xbox Live joy). After a month, however, their Xbox Live accounts are gone and they’re left with nothing.

One of the more humorous sellers doing this shady practice is hledford87. Check out her auction here. What would an attractive woman be doing on the internet, selling Xbox Live cards all day anyway? It would probably be frightening seeing the real person pulling off this scam…

“If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is”. Just remember this quote you see Xbox Live subscriptions – or pretty much any other outrageously-good deal – on eBay.

Custom Consoles: Why Not Let Your Console Stand Out?

Sure, game consoles usually look great and are well-thought out in design (let’s just forget about some of those forgotten “classic” console mishaps and the original Xbox, shall we?) but if you’re ultimately not satisfied with how your shiny new console looks, you can either put a whole bunch of work into it and make it look unique, or just pay an outrageous sum of money on eBay for some schmo to do it for you! Here are some custom console designs found through the listings of eBay, and even an Xbox 360 prototype as well (have you ever wondered what a 360 would look like if it was black? Well, wonder no longer, you curious bean). Enjoy.
