Fresh New Xbox 360 Platinum Hits Announced
If you’re looking for some high-quality, top-tier Xbox 360 games on the cheap then the announcement of eight new Platinum Hits titles will excite you.
Joining the few games released on the line last year and the recently released Platinum Hits version of Fight Night Round 3 will be the following bestsellers:
Battlefield II: Modern Combat
Burnout Revenge
Call of Duty 2
Dead or Alive 4
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Rockstar Game’s Table Tennis
Top Spin 2
Ultimately, it’s quite disappointing that these games will debut at $10 more than last generation’s line of Platinum Hits. Considering the majority of the titles listed already go for $30 the only new features these games are ultimately receiving are appalling new box-arts. Also, I was bummed to see that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion didn’t make the cut this time around. It’s not hard to see why though – Oblivion will be hitting the PS3 soon for a staggering sixty bones. Oh well, at least most of these titles are worth a purchase…

indeed the box art leaves a lot to be desired, but finally an opportunity to get my hands on DOA4......
Oh, and how much would these platinum titles cost?
I also plan on picking up DOA 4 at some point as well, possibly used because I seriously dislike the butchered Platinum Hits box arts...
And Gnome, they will cost ya thirty big ones, but they often do go on sale... I got Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3 for $20 each brand new last Fall...
No Oblivion *cries*
Extremely reasonable prices if I may say so. Thanks, ross.
Kasumi..... €30 yummy!!!
(passes hankie to anonymous....)
You make an excellent point about Oblivion coming out on PS3. I think that is probably the reason for not having Oblivion as platinum hit. Also as you said, it sucks that is no "real" price drop for these games, I'm 100% Sony will follow suit with this as well. Oh well.
Well, I'm getting Oblivion for $30 used anyway and without the hideous box-art, so it's a win-win situation I guess.
Thanks for reading everyone.
It's about time game prices dropped... How much do they cost to produce? Most of the dreamcast games I buy had a release cost of £40 ($70) back in 2000. Now they cost £2.50!
