BioShock - Highest Rated Game of all Time?

Most of us expected BioShock to be good, but I think those who have played it (either the full game or in demo form) were quite shocked at just how incredible the game turned out to be. This makes the three date wait for the game to be released mighty difficult.

Currently every source who has reviewed this potential 'Game of the Year' candidate has given it a positive review. In fact, according to Game Rankings, if the review trends continue this way then BioShock will dethrone Zelda: Ocarina of Time as the highest rated game of all time. Currently one percent shy of perfection (99% average), I bet certain sites, such as GameSpot, will probably bring the overall rating down a tad. But maybe I'll be wrong. We'll just have to see as more websites review this awesome title, but as of today eight different sites have contributed to this review.

Also, here are the current top 10 highest rated games of all time (according to Gamerankings):

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) 97.7%
2. Soulcalibur (DC) - 96.4%
3. Metroid Prime (GC) - 96.3%
4. Resident Evil 4 (GC) - 95.8%
5. GoldenEye 007 (N64) - 95.8%
6. Resident Evil 4 (PS2) - 95.7%
7. Super Mario 64 (N64) - 95.7%
8. Halo (Xbox) - 95.6%
9. Tekken 3 (PSX) - 95.6%
10. Half-Life 2 (PC) - 95.5%

Why is Resident Evil 4 listed twice? The Playstation 2 version is better.

Resident Evil 4 is listed twice because it was released on both the GC and PS2. And this is not an opinion based list, it's simply the top 10 highest rated games by Game Rankings.

I did finally play through Resident Evil 4 this summer though.I enjoyed it ,despite loathing other games in the series.

And Elderly, Gamespot is usually later than other sites on reviews... but what is taking them THIS long? Maybe tomorrow...

Some people might say that BioShock is a bad game because of the lack of a multiplayer, but I disagree. It is not as good as FEAR, but it is definetely worth buying. Now, if I only knew how to get the alternate ending in BioShock...
